Hot Remember Ring

Goldsmith Gallery is showing off its Remember Ring, which is a form of finger watch - actually, more like a calendar watch. It helps you with remembering (Remember-Ring, get it?) important dates, like say, your anniversary

Here's how it works: You tell the company the date you want to remember, and they set the watch. Then, as you wear it, a micro thermopile inside the Remember Ring keeps the battery charged and on time. Twenty-four hours before the date, a Hot Spot on the interior surface of the ring warms up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit for about ten seconds every hour, all day long.

Guys have constructed Trebuchet shooting fiery ball on 300 meters.

Guys for 2 days have built Trebuchet which shoots on distance of 300 meters. Each shot cost $120 on average. Nobody was hurt.

Total Christmas light control

Now that Thanksgiving is in full swing, I think I can safely mention Christmas without receiving the beat down. In this project, Christmas is just an excuse to build a parallel port connected control box capable of switching 320 individual circuits. The interface is constructed out of two types of chips: the 138 decoder and the 374 flip-flop. Each flip-flop is attached to an individual serial port that is connected to an 8 outlet switch box. Along with this system the site features lots of other home built and modified controls.
